Peter Parker lost his parents at a young age, due to this he was raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. After failing to stop a criminal who kills his Uncle, he is taught a painful lesson, “with great power, comes great responsibility”. An iconic quote, that instills Peter with the motivation to do great things. Spider-Man stories often use themes of Peter’s obligation to do good, struggles to balance his hero work and personal life, and moral opposition from a variety of super villains.
